In this smashingly elegant action game, you manage traffic patterns, trying to keep hapless drivers from tragedy. Keep the cars from colliding during the day, but when night falls, the Smash Cars come out to play - and instead of saving cars, you need to bash them off the road. Featuring hypnotically addictive gameplay and a deeply funky soundtrack by Michael Sweet of AudioBrain, CRASH is the most fun you've ever had in traffic. The Design CRASH began life as a simple interaction experiment that Peter Lee put together, and we liked it so much that we turned it into this odd little web game. This is probably the most Zen-like gameplay Gamelab has built so far - as the levels get crowded, you need to keep an eye on the whole gamefield at once, feeling the flowing patterns of traffic across the screen. But because avoiding collisions is a bit oblique as a reward mechanism, we introduced the smash cars at nighttime to give the satisfaction of crashing the cars you work so hard to save during the day. | |
